  I. Fore Part of Body Structure: Two cars are roughly consistent.

  Qashqai score: 5 points

  ix35 score: 5 points

  Car front bumper is of two-layered structure. The outer layer is plastic and behind it is often foam plastic, which can properly absorb impact energy in slight collision so as to avoid any hard damage needing repair. In addition, it can protect pedestrians.

  It can be seen from the table above that two cars are rather similar in self-safety protection and pedestrian safety protection. Except that there is a great difference in the space below the engine compartment cover, the other items are basically consistent.

  ix35 score: 2.5 points

  There is certain difference behind the rear bumper shells of two cars. Ix35 uses nometal bar but a resin beam. Qashqai uses nometal bar , either, but adopts foam plastic as liner of rear bumper. What is different from the leading actor Tiida in the last period of Chaichefang is that Tiida uses three small pieces of foam plastic while Qashqai uses a full piece of foam plastic, with the protection scope more perfect.

  Sectional conclusion: Many people holds that a beam of metal material is safer. This viewpoint is not without reason and it is of course better to have a metal bar in case of rear-end collision. However, as designers use resin or foam plastic instead of steel beam, they must have their reasons.
